I’m Tris

I’m endlessly exploring everything Northern California has to offer. Some of my favorite beaches are tucked along the Aptos coast, while the Santa Cruz Mountains are home to some of my most-accessible redwoods.
My favorite wilderness to return to is Desolation, but honestly, one of my favorite things about California is knowing there’s always another wilderness to discover. With more than 100 designated wilderness areas across the state, there’s no shortage of places to wander, explore, and get a little lost.

You can usually find me somewhere near an alpine lake or rotting along the Yuba River which is my greatest form of escape.
I’m always up for a paddleboard adventure, mountain biking, backpacking, chasing waterfalls, soaking in a hot spring, or taking a good old-fashioned road trip with nowhere specific to be.
For me, adventure doesn't always mean going farther or higher. Sometimes it means finding a beautiful place and staying awhile.

I believe being someone people can trust on the trail starts with knowing how to take care of yourself and others.
I’m certified in Wilderness First Aid (WFA) and am also a certified Forest Therapy Guide, combining practical wilderness skills with a deeper understanding of how time in nature can help us slow down, reconnect, and reset.
My goal is simple: to be someone you can trust out there in the wild.
Outside is where I reset..
For me, getting outside is more than finding the next trail or checking another destination off the list. It’s where I reconnect with myself.
Whether I’m hiking a new epic trail, exploring somewhere unfamiliar, or simply sitting outside and taking it all in, time in nature gives me space to breathe, reset, and come back feeling a little more grounded.
I love sharing those moments because I believe adventure doesn’t have to be extreme to be meaningful. Sometimes getting outside, trying something new, and giving yourself permission to unplug is enough.
I’ve been exploring in California for the past 8 years learning as much as I can about mental health, self-confidence, and responsible stewardship in nature.
I invest quite a bit of time toward personal development and becoming more self-aware of how my inner self interacts with the outer world and my surroundings. It’s always an ongoing practice and you’ll consistently hear me say we endlessly learn and grow.
“just” a mom inspiring more adventures
At the heart of it all, I’m just a mom who loves being outside, seeing new places, and inspiring others to find a little more adventure in their own lives. I hope to show that you don’t have to be an extreme adventurer or have a perfectly planned life to get out there and experience something new.

Body positivity & embodiment confidence advocate
I believe in the practice of self-love and expression and find the practice most fulfilling in the wild when we as women finally feel welcome to the space and openness in our hearts to accept who we are in our feminine human bodies. To leave filling our minds and souls with nothing but appreciation and beauty, while also leaving space for radical change in every our every day life.
The road ahead is long and full of nothing but sharp turns and windy roads, but how we decide to look at the experience is ultimately how life turns into an adventure.
